Throughout her educational journey and flourishing career, Dr. Edgeworth's unwavering passion for serving the underserved has remained steadfast. She has diligently served as the Medical Director at Volunteers in Medicine and currently spearheads a physician assistant community outreach program at Touro University, meeting the needs of over 850 underserved and homeless southern Nevadans annually. Revered as the driving force behind the university's mobile health clinic, she also stands as a leading figure at Project Homeless Connect—an event that delivers crucial services to over 2,500 homeless citizens in a single day.
In response to the region's challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Edgeworth emerged as an indispensable asset. Volunteering tireless hours, she provided critical care to underserved communities and those affected by the pandemic, all the while imparting invaluable lessons of leadership and collaboration to her students. Her outstanding contributions have earned her the prestigious TCUS Presidential Award for Faculty Excellence in the Service category, along with recognition as one of Vegas Inc's Women Inspiring Nevada and the honor of being named a Healthcare Hero by Nevada Business magazine.
As a physician armed with both clinical expertise and an empathetic, community-centered approach, Dr. Edgeworth remains resolute in her mission to advocate for those with limited access to healthcare. Actively engaging her students, she guides them not only in delivering exceptional medical care but also in attending to the needs of our community's most vulnerable members.
Dr. Edgeworth and her husband love Nevada. In their spare time they enjoy traveling and volunteering. Dr. Edgeworth proudly cherishes the state that has bestowed upon her countless opportunities to make a meaningful difference.
