Dr. Rebecca Edgeworth is the only practicing physician serving in the Nevada State Assembly, representing District 35, which includes Southern Highlands and Mountains Edge. As both a physician and legislator, she brings real-world healthcare experience to the policymaking process and remains deeply connected to the needs of Nevada patients and providers.

 

A third-generation Nevadan, Dr. Edgeworth was born at Nellis Air Force Base and has always considered Las Vegas home. She earned her medical degree from University of South Florida before returning to Southern Nevada to complete her medical training at University Medical Center of Southern Nevada.

 

Throughout her career, Dr. Edgeworth has focused on expanding access to healthcare for underserved communities while helping train the next generation of healthcare professionals. She currently serves as a Professor at Touro University Nevada, where she teaches both classroom and clinical medical education to future physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, residents, and allied health professionals.
